Fun Fun Fun for everyone!

Sometimes we go to this gymnastics place where they have open gym for kids under 5 to just play...Emrie loves jumping off the tramp into the foam pit, so we spend most of our time there...I have learned to only go with both girls if Chad comes, cause it's really really tiring by myself and a little crazy.

Molly's absolute favorite place in the house is Emrie's closet. Doesn't matter how many times I close it, it is always opened and she is in with all the shoes...I know, sucking on shoes, Yuck!

My latest sewing projects...(Actually!!! I just finished both girls Easter dresses Today!!--but I'm not putting them in them till Easter, so have to wait for those)

I don't think I'll ever be able to get a picture again of Emrie where she is not trying to do some kind of ballerina pose.

And I used this pair of overalls (couldn't talk myself into wearing them again :D ) and made Emrie a little jean skirt. And I only used one leg...what to do with the rest?

Last but not least this last weekend we got hit with lots and lots of snow. Church actually got canceled. Monday I tried to go out sledding but couldn't bring myself to tromp thigh deep in new snow, so we went Tuesday, all of us and it was SOOO fun. I forgot how fun sledding was. We were hauling down the hill.

Isn't she just squeezable???!!!!

Here you can see that fresh snow out there...up to Emries shoulders!

Sring Break in New Mexico

For Spring Break this last week we went and visited my sister Rochelle's family in New Mexico. Her 2 little boys are the same age as my 2 little girls, so it was nice for the kids to be able to play. We had a lot of fun...minus the flu bug we brought with us, sorry Shel! We did take the kids to the zoo one day which was really neat.

This Peacock walking around and Emrie almost touched it she was so close to it.

The elephants were really cool. They got in the water and swam (2 adults and the baby) and they played in the water forever and when they got out they used their trunks to fling a bunch of dirt on themselves. It was pretty funny.

Molly happy...which was pretty rare. She is teething for the first time..her 2 bottom teeth and she is a very unhappy little girl. Crying and nursing the day away. I sure hope it's not like this for all her teeth or I might lose my mind!

We also went to the aquarium, which was very neat.

I told Emrie, see...even fish can't lie or their noses grow, just like pinocchio. She had no idea what I was talking about, but I thought this fish was pretty funny.

Rochelle and lincoln! So cute!

And of course there was the tank with all the sharks. Creepy!

Spring Break was fun. We got home just in time for the snow storm this weekend. And man there is A LOT of snow out there...church was canceled and class for Chad tomorrow has been canceled. Maybe we can make it out sledding tomorrow :D Anyone up for some sledding?

Sewing and my sweeties

Alright...so I have undertaken a project to save us some moola this semester by making Emrie's Spring/Summer clothes from my old clothes...I have 2 boxes full of clothes I don't wear :D So, my first shirt for her turned out ok...
I was so happy with how my second shirt for her turned out...It looks so cute on her I think!

And...then I decided to make her a skirt to go with it...at first I was going to do the ruffles going verticle, but it was going to take more fabric, so I went horizontal, but I think it still turned out so cute.

And here's my little goof. I told her to smile for the camera and she went into posing mode...don't even know where she learned to pose for the camera, kinda funny.

So, I'm way excited! It's kinda fun to think of something and then try and make it...especially if it turns out good.

And here are just some random pictures of the loves in my life...

Emrie is always dressing up...and thus is always trying to dress up Molly, which most of the time doesn't go over well with the little sister. This morning I told Emrie to let go of Molly who was screaming while Emrie was hugging her and she goes..."But Mom, I Love her!" That melts your heart!

Daddy dancing with Emrie...he probably wouldn't be real thrilled if he knew I put a picture of him up with a crown...but I think it's oddly attractive :D

Vacation fun and back to life

So, we left the Friday before Christmas to go to Gilbert and stayed till Jan. 9th! We stayed so long because Chad's brother James got married on the 7th. Christmas Eve we got together with the Kays. Everyone was there, except Kara and Chavis :( They were very much missed! We had a nice dinner and went to the firestations and caroled with our chimes. The kids got to get in the trucks and got coloring books and hats. I thought it was way cute, they had a pink hat for Emrie. She was scared of the trucks but it was still fun.

The boys sitting in the truck. Rhett, Graham and Elijah.

Christmas morning Oma and Opa came over before the kids got up and we did gifts.

Emrie had to get in her Christmas dress my mom made her as soon as she saw it in the morning. Molly is still a little loopy :D

I need to get a good pic of the girls together in their dresses, but I thought this picture turned out nice of Daddy with Molly Dolly.

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Andersen's after church and did Christmas with them. It was a lot of fun. Here's Emrie in one of her dress-ups. She is constantly in dresses, either church ones or fun ones, whatever she can get....either that or she's in her panties only.

Chad and I actually got to get out without the kids. We went with Chad's brother Dallen and wife Sarah to San Tan Flats. It was really fun. We had dinner, roasted smores and danced.

We got the campfire marshmellows! They are HUGE!

And of course I forgot my camera on the wedding day :( James and Jessica looked great! And the girls had little outfits and they looked so cute.

So back at home and normal life. Chad started school this week! Last semester of classes, then fall semester is hospital rotations!! Can't believe how fast it's gone.

We made this little "alligator" Emrie calls it yesterday and the girls love it. I had some socks I never wear, so I decided to make something out of them. I thought it turned out really cute! And it was free!!! :D

Molly now army crawls. She sits up and can push herself from laying down to sitting up position! Can't believe how big my girls are getting! And they both have HAIR now!!! :D

I know you want to kiss and nibble on these fabulous cheeks!! I do all the time :D She always flattens her lips and makes noises while her cheeks fluff out. I LOVE it!!!

Our Season thus far

Ward Christmas Party was a lot of fun...Emrie did sit on Santa's lap...she was so scared of Santa a month ago when we tried to get her to see him...then at the mall one day Santa was right by the playground and he came over and talked to the few kids who were there (Emrie included) and said something to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead..she was SO excited...and since then she loves santa...so sweet, that one Santa made all the difference.

My two girls...aren't they adorable in their Christmas clothes! Molly loves the tree...she rolls herself over under it no matter where you start her in the room and will lay under there just touching the bottom branches forever.

Last Saturday they had a free Christmas thing for kids with cookies and they made ornaments and listened to a story from Mrs. Claus and saw Santa...it was really neat. After they saw santa they got to pick out of a box a toy...Emrie picked a stuffed dinosaur and we got molly a stuffed Critter with dangly legs...she likes it a lot.

Then there was the lights parade...it was really neat. Emrie really liked it. Tons of floats decorated in lights. The people walking in the parade were handing out candy and little kids had stockings and santa hats for their candy bags.
